We had a wonderful 2 week holiday staying at this delightful villa near the centre of Jimena de la Frontera.
The villa is very spacious and was more than ample for the six of us. We really enjoyed the roof terrace where we had our meals looking out across a spectacular view of the village and surrounding countryside. The villa is very well equipped with everything and more that we needed to enjoy our holiday – we particularly enjoyed the cinema room!!
Angel and his wife were fantastic hosts going out of there way to show us where the shops, chemists, doctors, restaurants were (on an unusually very rainy day!!) and really helped us settle in. They also recommended the local
Butcher (excellent meat) and local restaurants – the food and wine was delicious and really reasonably priced. They were happy to help throughout our stay.

Thank you so much for your hospitality over the Easter holidays. The villa is a wonderful place to stay and ideal for exploring Andalusia.
One day we took the train to Ronda and enjoyed the views from the train and a great meal in the restaurant that you recommended.
Before we came over I booked a tour of the fortifications on Gibraltar. We drove down early and parked at the border. Walking over was easy. The history there is amazing especially from the siege of Gibraltar.
Walking around Jimena we could see the old site of the ammunition works where the Spanish army made the missiles for the siege.
With just four of us we did not need all the space in the villa bit it was a luxury to so many rooms ad bathrooms. We did a lot of cooking at home as well as buying local pizza and on one night visiting Luis Ceite’s restaurant for a blow-out meal.
Thanks again for all the thoughtful touches – the coffee machine etc.
Our visit has inspired us to come again with a larger party next time and do some cycling and more adventurous hiking,

Antiguo Estanco in Jimena de la Frontera 17th to 31st August 2019
I took my family to this wonderful house to celebrate my wife’s birthday, we were met by Angel the owner who showed us all around the property which is extensive. Angel then took my son and I around the village in his car to familiarize us with the eateries and places of interest. The house looks nothing from the front but once through the entrance you are treated to very large and well equipped Andalusian home. There was 8 of us of various ages so there was plenty of space to either read, listen to music, swim, sunbath or watch films in the cinema room.The bedrooms were all well equipped and all but one was en suite. The view from the balcony was beautiful and we spent a lot of time there marveling at the vista and numerous eagles circling in the sky. There is an abundance of eateries in the Village all at very reasonable prices, also as it is on the edge of the National park there are really good walks and visiting the castle should not be missed..
My Son summed the holiday in this beautiful house as the best holiday experience he has had in his life which praise indeed as he is quite extensively traveled, i would like to thank angel and his family for allowing us to spend 2 wonderful weeks at their property.

We had 2 weeks in this wonderful Villa in Jimena de la Frontera. (September 2019)The village and the views from the villa were lovely.
There were 8 adults and the house suited us perfectly, as all rooms were on-suite.
The house was very spacious and had everything you could possibly need, for a perfect holiday.
The balcony was perfect all day long, from relaxing in the morning, to watching the sun go down in the evening over a nIce meal.
Angel and Jenny could not have been more helpful, from the initial walking us through the house by video link and recommending local restaurants, we enjoyed La Tasca and El Vinterello, also lovely tapas in the local bars. Would recommend a day trip to Ronda and also Gaucin.
In addition Angel and Jenny were alway available on Whatsapp for any help or information.
Would recommend this house for a relaxing stay, the position in the village was excellent, everything within a short walking distance to shops,bars and restaurants.

This wonderful house (and Jimena in general) was absolutely perfect. A beautiful house, set in an unspoilt traditional Andalusian town couldn’t have been more perfect for our two week holiday. We were 2 families with older children. Everyone had their own bedroom and en-suit showers/toilet with plenty of room throughout this wonderful house which included a cinema room in the basement and a grand piano upstairs The Owner Angel was always just a text away if we needed help and suggested some tasty local restaurants to satisfy our slightly non-standard diets (Vegans/Vegetarians and meat eaters!) from the house the beach was about 25ms away (Sotogrande) with Tarifa, Tangier and Ronda all within easy reach for day trips. A memorable and relaxing stay. Thank you!
